In keeping with state-wide instructions during the Covid-19 pandemic, First Methodist has not had church services inside the buildings. When weather permits, drive-in church services take place in the church parking lot facing north toward Faith Hall. You will hear the sermon and music through your car radio! Just watch for instructions on parking and listening when you arrive. And remember! The church is NOT the building. It is us, the people! Social distancing? No problem! Join Hanceville FUMC for Bible study every Wednesday night. The round-table discussion is broadcast
live on Facebook and YouTube beginning at 6:30 p.m. Special thanks to Bro. Paul, Chris Chaffin, Ty Watwood, and Michael Black for their expertise! Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Easter services were conducted outdoors with many members parking in front of the church and in the parking lot across the street. Thanks to Ty Watwood, the audio was broadcast on an FM band, so everyone could hear Brother Paul, as well as songs by Patti Jones and Jamie Akin. Thanks also to Chris Chaffin and Jace Chaffin for technology support.
Hanceville First Methodist Church shares Bro. Paul with Sharon Grove United Methodist Church. So everyone was pleased to attend the Easter Sunrise service at Sharon Grove via Internet this year! Bro. Paul was joined in the service by Jamie Akin and his granddaughter Lexie.
Go to the church Facebook page or use the YouTube link (https://www.youtube.com/c/hancevillefumc) to view the entire service. |
